What exactly am I paying for?
The upstream translation model's tokens, plus a small markup that keeps the gateway and this tool running. The on-device cloaking, detection model and receipts cost you nothing.
Is anything free forever?
Yes. Unlimited cloaking + preview with no account, and 10 translations a day once you connect a free CloakAPI wallet. It's the same detector and the same receipts as the paid tiers.
Do you ever see my documents?
No. Only surrogate-bearing text reaches the gateway, and only when you press Translate. We can't read your names because they never leave your browser — the receipt attests it.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes — subscriptions are managed from your CloakAPI account and cancel at the end of the period. Your on-device cloaking keeps working regardless.
